Our NEW self-study AED & CPR
course, is a COMPLETE AED and CPR training and certification course offering
Adult CPR and AED training and 2 year certification.
YES, THIS IS A COMPLETE
COURSE, YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO A CLASS, OR LEAVE THE PRIVACY OF YOUR HOME
OF OFFICE. EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS INCLUDED.
The course contents include the following main
sections:
- Medical Emergencies – Chain of Survival
- Responding to Emergencies
- Unresponsive Victim - Airway & Breathing
- Unresponsive Victim – Circulation
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
- Prevention, Planning and Preparation
This course is designed to develop both
theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The hands-on activities help you
develop the ability to identify and prioritize victims, practice performing
chest compressions, and practice on your timing for breathing into a victim.
Then practice placing and using the AED. The assessment tests both your
theoretical and practical knowledge.
STUDY TIME (1-4 hours)
Depending on your previous knowledge of AED and
CPR, it may take different amounts of time to go through the course. If you have
no experience with AED and CPR, most students will take about 4 hours to go
through all of the content and the practice activities. Some people prefer to
practice more on the activities than others. The test will take approximately 1
hour. You can take it more than once.
CERTIFICATE
On successful completion of the test, you will
qualify for a Successful ‘Adult CPR and AED’ Certificate. Our Medical Director
certifies our program meets all the Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC)
requirements to issue a valid AED & CPR Certificate. These are the same
standards that the American Heart Association and American Red Cross adhere too.
Once you have successfully completed your test, you log back on to us via the
Internet - and our system does the rest - and we send your certificate. You can
take as little or as long as you like to take the test.
