Early Access
The second link in the
chain-of-survival to reduce cardiac arrest is early access. Rapid response and
intervention increase the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest. For each minute of delay,
the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest decrease 10%. Knowing why, how and who to call
for help is a part of the bystander's critical role. Teach the Early Access program to
all employees and place the Early Access Reminder products around your company to remind
people often. The faster action is taken, the more people will live.
Take a "Cardiac Arrest Test" to
determine if you will have a cardiac arrest this year. |
EARLY
ACCESS TRAINING PROGRAM, Calling for Help
Accessing the emergency medical system at work and at home may be
different. 9-1-1 is not used every where. This video based program can be used for
employee training and new-hires to speed up calling for help. It teaches what to expect,
what happens, and what you should do and say when calling to save a life. For every minute
of delay, 10% more people will die.
